Amir Giles | Tara Pilbrow present:

entangled

A dance piece combining Argentine Tango, Contemporary Dance and Physical Theatre

Rehearsals

The above footage is drawn from rehearsals conducted in Paris in 2009.

The process involved a long investigation period between Amir Giles and Tara Pilbrow, mixing their respective training in contemporary dance with a shared passion and long involvement in Argentine Tango.

After meeting in Buenos Aires, research began in 2008, in Paris, and rehearsals and choreography in 2009 with two months in Buenos Aires, two months in Paris and two months in London before the first show at The Place, on the 18th of January 2010.

The initial response has been very enthusiastic, resulting in plans to expand the work and perform more widley. Future projects include a new duet to be choreographed by Kate Flatt, and for Entangled to be featured in a new film directed by Giles Foreman late 2010.
